The Doctor and I moved across country shortly after getting married, and like each other time we’ve made a big move, we pruned back our liquor collection before doing so. That means we landed on the West Coast with some favorite ingredients missing. Thankfully one of our wedding gifts was a (post move) liquor store shopping spree paid for by our friend Krupal and his lady. They also encouraged us to not only replace missing bottles, but experiment with new ingredients too. We thanked Krupal by making him a drink with one of those new ingredients: Cocchi Americano.
Krupal’s Cocktail is essentially a Manhattan variant with bourbon at its base. The Lavender Liquor adds a floral sweetness while the Cocchi Americano adds some herbal notes to the mix. It’s a nice drink, with the herbal, sweet, floral, and whiskey all melding very well.
