We sat down to play some highly inappropriate Cards Against Humanity with friends, and one of my visiting competitors for this game requested I make something with Tequila for him. Of course it’s cold and rainy, so I tropical inspired drinks didn’t immediately jump to mind.
Instead, I figured spice was the right answer, and that orange would work along with both agave and spice.
The good news is the drink was a winner. The bad news is I lost the game of being highly inappropriate… again.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Reposado Tequila (Kirkland)
- 3/4 oz Chai Vodka
- 3/4 oz Triple Sec (Combier)
- 1/4 oz Cinnamon Whiskey (Sinfire)
- 2 Dashes Fee Brothers Orange Bitters
- Orange Peel Garnish
I put everything but the garnish in the shaker with some ice, shook it up, and then poured it into a rocks glass with a large ice-cube. I peeled a twist of orange and wrung the citrus oil to the surface and ran it around the rim of the glass before dropping it in.
